[Happy New Year's Boners]

Happy New Years Everyone! Don't drink and drive, don't put the wrong end of the cigars in your mouths, and don't shatter your champagne glasses on the toasts.

In the new year Ninja Ken will finally be moving to an actual website instead of blogger! Its all set up and ready to be spot checked before I start posting their so it may still be a week or two off, but it's on its way.

Woo to the Hoo!

[Hello Joe, whatdoya know? I just got back from the bloodhound show.]

Yeah yeah, I know I didn't make my friday post. Make me feel bad why dontcha? I was too busy drinking Manhattans that tasted just like salad to get around to it. Srry.

So Mario Galaxy is great, its good, its wonderful. But its not as good as Mario 64, not by a longshot. The entire driving force behind the game is the exploration of these little islands floating in space, and how you move from one to the other solving puzzles and killing baddies till you get to the star. And thats the main reason I don't like the game as much. I enjoyed being in the mushroom kingdom far far better than floating through the almost scenery-free landscape that is space.

Also, the game seems a little less Mario to me than it should seem. I mean the controls are spot on, but the game does not make you take advantage of all of Mario's jumps, a basic in 3D Mario gameplay. I have 42 stars so far and can only think of maybe 2 situations when I had to use anything other than standard single jumps. And that just doesn't seem right.

In other gaming news my Guitar Hero 3 guitar is bust which is supra lame. I have the "first button frets along with 2nd and 3rd" problem, as well as an auto-firing star power, which make the game much more frustrating than it should be. Sadness.

Ok I am gonna run now, got some shopping to do with Mr. Adam, then tonight I'm going out for a friends 24th bday. Woo for slowly dieing!

[Gumbercules? I love that guy!]

Hello hello, so the X-mas has left my wallet a little emptier, but my games library richer. I now am the proud owner of Mario Galaxy, Umbrella Chronicles, and GH3 on the 360.

I will give a full low-down, but I don't feel like goin into any details right now because I plan on hitting up a quick hour of Mario before I watch an epi of MST3K and go to bed.

I don't have my Ninja Ken spiral within arms reach, so instead heres another quick sketch of mario. I do think I'm getting better with the drawing pen thingy, don't you?

[What was that? A tar dolphin? .. Or a tar shark!]

A word of warning, do not go see I Am Legend. It is not good. Well maybe that is a bit too harsh, let me say instead, there is nothing good about it. Ok, well that's also untrue. The sets look amazing, and that dog is kickass, everything else is meh.

I could rattle off a whole buncha things that really make this movie not worth your, my, or your Aunt Sal's money, but instead I will just say 3.

1. Those were really shitty vampires. I mean the vampires in Bloodrayne looked better.
2. Why did we get flashbacks about him driving to a helicopter? Where were the flashbacks of the whole end of civilization thing?
3. Did the people responsible for this even read the book?

BAH. Now I'm all grumpy. Here is a comic, I got the idea off that oldass video of that jackass (the best part is the girl yelling at the very end of that) yelling out the ending of some Harry Potter book to a whole line of people waiting for it. Bravo guy, you're a douchebag. (although I do not like Harry Potter for the record)

[It's Funny Because it's Poisonous!]

So I had my yearly status-report at work. Turns out I'm great. Go me!

Tonight I may end up going out for drinks, or going to see I Am Legend. Depending on the whim of my friends.

Tomorrow I am going to work! Yeah, on a Saturday!

And this morning, exactly what happened in today's comic occurred!

[Ma Pa, our precious ranch!]

Tonight I worked till 7, picked up my car from the mechanic (whom tried to screw me, of course), and then ate at olive garden with a bunch of people. It was quite good.

Then I did what I have done every night this week, watched Futurama. Weeee.

I got no humor in me tonight, heres a pic I just doodled of Mario looking frowny. And he has monkey-arms.

[Wanna Make Shrinky Dinks?]

So I dropped my car off to get the bumper fixed up. Some baffoon forgot to check behind him when backing up in a parking lot and hit me. Even though I was right there.

So I tooled abouts town in a rental car today, a Ford Taurus. Handled ok, not as smooth. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get back into my good ole Accord.

I beat Mass Effect yesterday. Overall it was an amazing game, I actually felt kind bummed when it was over. Like when you reach the end of a really good series of books. But it was also a very technically flawed game, as I am sure you are well aware.

I immediately started playing the Witcher. So far the camera is bugging me, and I wish I could use a game controller, but otherwise it looks promsing.

Ok I'm going to watch futurama the rest of the night. Toodles.

[Snowjob]

So the snow has finally started in earnest round these here parts. My car was all going WHOOSH and SKREE last night driving back from the local Irish pub (the buffalo chicken sammich is to die for). I like the snow, but when it gets in the way of me going places, I like it much less.

I am still working through Mass Effect, I'm trying to do all the missions, and it seems that for every one I finish, two more pop up. Its semi-infuriating, I just want to have no missions for 5 minutes game! One thing I have noticed is that all the armors and weapons are basically just pallet swaps, with very few discernible changes between models. Thats something I want you to change for the next one, ya hear Bioware?

Todays comic is a little slice of relationship pie brought to you by the letter M. His hair looks silly.

[SuperGrood]

So I picked up SuperBad on the way home from work. It's some crazy zip-boom fancy 2 disc edition. So woo for that.

And on a less awesome note I ate at CiCis Pizza for lunch today... and spent more time in the bathroom than at my cubicle for the rest of the work day. Lets just say, I think I died a little today, and wont be going back.

Here is a comic about things that can be done to while away the day at work!

[Which Witch]

So i let my gaurd down today for a few minutes, and then BAM! I'm walking out of best buy clutching The Witcher in my grubby paws. Yes I had planned on getting around to buying it, but I did not plan on buying it today by any means. To better understand why and how this happened, you must know a little more about my poor bent psyche. See, I consider myself a console gamer... but I have always dabbled in PC games, like the business exec who only does a little coke-y'know just to get by.

...And I haven't snorted any delicious PC game in a long, long time. It pretty much is like an irrational compulsion, but if i don't periodically buy some sort of PC game, I get all antsy.

For today's comic, you gotta do the guest character's voice to get the full effect. Oh, and that's all a lie, just so you know.

Oh right, and also blogger is having issues with opening pictures right now, thats why it makes you download them. And for that, they should be ashamed.
